Ball Bearing Adhesive

Adhesives for bearing

Bearing adhesive eliminates friction corrosion, they are used to attach bearings, crayas and cylindrical components. An additional element for this adhesive is an activator that accelerates and supports curing in case of poor bonding conditions or passive metals. Bearing adhesives are  made of methrylic resins, making it one of the highest strength adhesives. This application is not very useful for production belts, automotive/bicycle/motor services. This adhesive can reduce slack when attaching stamped bearings, gears, cams and seating tight joints. It is also used in the assembly of automation components and industrial mechanics. Hardened welds are resistant to dynamic and vibrating loads. Solvents and other chemical agents are not dangerous to him, as he is resistant to them. The reduced viscosity of the adhesive allows you to fill the gaps even below 0.15mm. After degreasing the surface (if  oiled),the strength of thebinder increases.

Bearing fitting adhesive

Bearing adhesive is a high-strength product made from methacrylic resins. The product is designed for mounting coaxial parts and is difficult to disassemble. The formula of the adhesive allows for effective and durable fastening of metal structural elements under load, such as cylindrical parts, keyways, shafts, and structural tubes with narrow fitting tolerances.

Bearing mounting adhesives are used for proper installation of bearings in their correct position - on the shaft or in the housing. The surface roughness also affects the proper installation. We offer bearing mounting adhesives in two variants - strong and very strong.

What is anaerobic adhesive for bearings?

Anaerobic adhesive is a one-component adhesive that is characterized by high stability at room temperature for a long time, even during intensive use. The anaerobic adhesive hardens when access to air is cut off. The liquid adhesive fills the gap between the bearing and the housing. When the product is between tightly fitting metal surfaces, oxygen access is cut off, triggering the adhesive hardening mechanism. Bonding between the adhesive and the surface occurs even on lightly oil-contaminated surfaces after hardening.

Anaerobic adhesive can be used to bond and seal combinations of different materials such as metal with plastics, glass, wood. Depending on the chosen type, anaerobic adhesive for bearings is suitable for direct use with protective films or in applications where contamination of surrounding mating components is a concern in maintenance.

Bearing mounting adhesive - properties and benefits

Bearing adhesive is a unique product in workshop chemistry. Below we present the benefits and properties of the adhesive, here they are:

  • effectively fills the internal space between components, ensuring tightness and strength of the joint
  • tolerates slightly greased surfaces
  • protects against corrosion of metal elements (e.g. joints)
  • provides high tightness
  • resistance to mechanical impacts
  • joint with high resistance to high temperatures
  • secures connections against spontaneous loosening of threads, nuts, screws, etc.
  • protects bearings and other parts, such as bushes and mating parts in housings and on shafts
  • due to its ability to fill gaps, it is an excellent alternative for repairing worn mating elements, such as sockets, keys
  • difficult to disassemble adhesive
  • can be used with activator for methacrylate adhesives, e.g. to accelerate bonding with copper, brass, bronze
  • can be used for bonding bearings, flat surfaces, gears, bushings
  • this preparation should be used if excellent filling between two metal surfaces is desired
  • the adhesive is a very good choice when the customer expects thermal resistance and durability from the product

The benefits of using bearing adhesive

Bearing adhesives are specialized products used to secure components mounted on shafts and in housings. Their main advantage is the elimination of assembly clearances, which prevents micro-movements leading to wear and fretting corrosion. Due to their high resistance to temperatures, oils, and vibrations, these adhesives increase the durability of bearings and reduce the risk of failure. Additionally, they eliminate the need for traditional fastening methods, such as keys or press fits, which lowers costs and simplifies the assembly process, enhancing the reliability of connections in industrial conditions.
