In workplaces where machines are used, employees are often exposed to high levels of industrial noise. Vibrations caused by intensively operating engines of professional equipment can be very harmful to human health, and certainly contribute to a decline in well-being. At Power Rubber we have a solution - anti-vibration mats under machines.

Anti-vibration mats effectively dampen the vibrations generated by operating machines and equipment, while simultaneously reducing the level of unpleasant noise. This solution will certainly contribute to increased staff productivity and improved working comfort.

Vibration isolation mats – Advantages

At Power Rubber we supply anti-vibration mats made of high-quality, durable rubber. Thanks to this, our products excellently dampen the vibrations of machines that emit vibrations and troublesome noise. The isolation mats are made of natural rubber or other elastomers, which provide them with long service life. They are characterized by high resistance to chemical agents, which means they can be used safely in various environments. This allows their use even in coolant baths.

The thickness of the mat affects its durability, so it is important not to overlook this parameter.

Where are anti-vibration mats used?

Anti-vibration mats are used to minimize vibrations of industrial machines. They are made of an elastic rubber material that absorbs shocks, protecting the floors of factories and warehouses from damage and protecting equipment from accelerated wear and costly failures.

Due to these properties, vibration isolation mats find wide application in heavy industry plants, workshops, and warehouses, as well as in all areas where intensively and loudly operating equipment is present, such as: printing machines, presses, lathes or milling machines.

Additionally, they are usually offered in many shapes and sizes, which makes it possible to adapt a mat to individual needs and the requirements of a specific space. A well and professionally made mat has high durability, is flexible, and at the same time retains its shape for a very long time. Mats made of polyurethane or another elastomer generally also have a wide operating temperature range, which is from -20 degrees Celsius to as much as +120 degrees Celsius.

The natural anti-slip properties of rubber also make them useful as a product that prevents uncontrolled sliding and movement of the machine across the surface.

Machine vibration isolation — how to eliminate noise, vibration and movement

Rubber mats separate heavy equipment from the floor. Due to cushioning and the ability to absorb shocks, they protect every type of floor from scratches, cracking and other damage. Without the help of mats, over time the foundation and the building structure will deteriorate. The cost of repairing chips and cracks can be very high. To prevent such a situation, it is worth investing in protection for the floor and equipment in industrial areas by choosing one of the rubber mats from our wide range.

Effectively damping most of the vibrations caused by operating machines is not that easy and not every product offered on the market will work. A key parameter is paying attention to the type of material from which a given mat is made. One of the most popular groups is the quite extensive group of elastomers, which includes rubbers and polyurethane. Cork and rubber also work very well as materials for producing such mats. A specialist will certainly be able to advise on the choice, taking into account also the material density, regarding the type of workshop and the machines whose vibrations are to be damped. The thickness of the mat is also of great importance — the thicker it is, the better anti-vibration properties it should have, and consequently — it provides better vibration isolation.

Of course, your choice should depend on the weight of the isolated device. It should be remembered that anti-vibration mats are best suited for damping mainly structure-borne noise. In terms of applications, this means that they are rather used for less demanding work. If you want to achieve greater effectiveness of acoustic insulation, you should choose mats with greater hardness and thickness.

In the case of vibration isolation mats, two types of surfaces can be distinguished: smooth or profiled. Some special, high-quality products are also additionally reinforced with PE fibers. This is then the so-called layered method.

Machine mats are very easy to install, which greatly facilitates laying such material yourself, which in effect is the beginning of working in a quieter and calmer environment.

Rubber anti-vibration mats - products available at Power Rubber

In the Power Rubber store we offer extremely durable, tough and wear-resistant rubber anti-vibration mats. Our mats have been specially designed to minimize the overall noise emitted by vibrating equipment (e.g. construction machines, agricultural machines, compressors, household appliances, etc.) in halls, factories, warehouses and mechanical workshops.

We provide you with vibration isolation mats that both excellently absorb shocks, provide appropriate acoustic insulation, and at the same time increase the safety and comfort of employees.
