How is a professional dart constructed?

The first element in the construction of a dart is the tip. It is the point which, depending on the dartboard, can be made from two types of material - plastic in the case of electronic boards or metal if the board is of a conventional material. Next is the barrel, the element by which the player holds the dart. It is the metal part, usually made almost 100% of tungsten, serving as the weight. On the barrel O-rings are placed, which connect it and the shaft. The use of O-rings is very important because they prevent the darts from unscrewing themselves. After the O-ring is the shaft, connecting the barrel with the flight. A special sleeve can optionally be placed on the shaft, which squeezes its tip holding the flight, preventing rotation during flight. A protector is placed on the flight to prevent it from folding during the throw.
