P Bond Seal rings are bonded seals, also referred to as Dowty seals, consisting of a metal washer (outer ring) and vulcanized rubber (inner ring). The metal washer prevents excessive compression and limits deformation of the inner rubber ring.

They are ideally suited for static sealing in high-pressure systems where other sealing solutions are insufficient. They are used across various industrial sectors, most commonly in hydraulic and pneumatic drives and control systems.

Bonded seals prevent leakage and ensure reliable resistance to bursting pressure. They can operate at both low and high temperatures. They are available with or without a self-centering lip. The self-centering lip enables easy installation (reduces assembly time) and eliminates leaks and seal displacement.

Advantages of using a P Bond Seal ring:

  • guarantees reliable sealing in low- and high-pressure systems
  • allows operation at low and high temperatures
  • reduces bolt tightening torque without loss of clamping force
  • metal washer prevents excessive compression and extrusion of the rubber
  • elasticity allows installation in various devices
  • available in a wide range of elastomers and metals
  • suitable for all threaded bolts, studs, and clearance holes

P-type sealing rings are available in various material combinations and in different imperial, metric, French metric, and German metric sizes.
