PN EN 1177 Standard

The Polish PN EN1177 standard, based on the English EN1177 version, broadly describes safe surfaces for playgrounds, designed to absorb the impact of falls. Most often, this applies to children. Using the appropriate type of surface with dedicated standards increases safety for the youngest. The Polish EN-1177 standard also addresses proper water drainage. Surfaces used on playgrounds should allow the free flow of water and contaminants, preventing the formation of puddles. The standard also outlines a way to reduce costs by recommending the use of natural drainage, thereby reducing maintenance expenses.
