Gasket plates are widely used, particularly in the food industry. Available in various variants, they must have appropriate certifications permitting contact with food. In Poland, PZH certification is most commonly encountered, while abroad the FDA certificate guarantees safe contact with water and food.

How to Choose the Right Gasket Plate?

The basis is a valid hygienic approval. Plates are manufactured from aramid or mineral fibres combined with rubber and fillers, resulting in an elastic, durable gasket that adheres well to smooth surfaces. They are environmentally friendly and safe for human health. The continuous operating temperature is a key parameter: silicone plates (FDA-certified) are often a more cost-effective and durable alternative to aramid plates at high temperatures.

Advantages of Use in the Food Industry

This type of sealing solution ensures reliability and operational effectiveness. The most important factors are certifications confirming contact with food and drinking water, as well as environmental safety. A good plate should be easy to adapt, flexible and precisely matched to a specific surface. Before purchase, it is advisable to consult a specialist, analysing mechanical properties, pressure resistance and operating temperature. Silicone plates perform best where high continuous temperatures are required, offering a durable and safe solution.
