Parking Separator (Wheel Stop): The Simple Life Hack

The difficult art of parking

Thirty hours allocated for driving lessons unfortunately do not always develop students' ability to park flawlessly. Many a test for the popular „prawko” ends precisely when the examiner asks us to stop the vehicle in the designated spot. Ultimately, extra driving hours and learning instructional videos by heart allow almost everyone to obtain the desired license.

However, it often happens that even experienced drivers avoid parallel parking, and for the theoretically simpler perpendicular parking they need a lot of space. Meanwhile, some situations force us to stop the vehicle regardless of whether we like the available spot. This is the case, for example, in crowded shopping mall car parks. We face equally limited choices when there is a need to take care of something quickly. Is there a way to make parking easier for us?

Mathematics on paper, life on the street

First, let's look at the legal side of parking spaces. On paper it looks quite decent. The minimum width of a parking bay for passenger cars is 2.3 metres, while its length cannot be shorter than 5 metres. In the case of a space parallel to the carriageway, the minimum length is another metre longer. Astute mathematicians will quickly calculate that we have as much as 11.5 square metres of area to place our car. And that would probably be sufficient if everyone parked centrally in the middle of their bay. We can be convinced it's quite the opposite as soon as we step outside or even look out the window. Typically it looks like the first driver parks crookedly, and then every subsequent driver must adapt to them, and normal car placement becomes possible only when everyone leaves.

Is there a way to make it harder for selfish drivers to park sloppily? How can we protect buildings and equipment as well as road users from the effects of poor parking?

Rubber parking stopper - check its advantages

A rubber parking stopper is a safety barrier that prevents a vehicle from passing beyond the designated area. It controls backward or forward movement within a parking space. A parking separator prevents drivers from driving beyond their allocated parking space, thereby preventing damage to other vehicles and elements of building infrastructure.

Check why it's worth installing parking separators:

  • they allow precise and easy parking in limited space

  • parking bumpers are used for safe parking, helping to avoid hitting a wall or another vehicle

  • they prevent encroachment onto pedestrian lanes or bike paths

  • they delineate boundaries for construction works

  • they mark parking spaces preventing one car from occupying several bays

  • they define the limits of traffic routes, e.g. during temporary changes in traffic organization

  • they allow to designate a parking spot

  • they ensure safe flow of vehicles

  • installation of a separator separates pedestrian traffic from vehicle traffic

  • suitable for mounting both outdoors and indoors (including chain barriers)

  • simple installation using mounting screws

  • manufactured in various sizes - products available in our store come in different lengths (e.g. 150 mm, 550 mm, 900 mm, 1820 mm)

  • aesthetic appearance

Rubber parking separators

At Power Rubber, parking separators and stoppers are made from a high-quality rubber compound that is characterized by the desired features and properties, here they are:

Resistance and durability

Parking bumpers in yellow or black are highly durable against repeated vehicle impacts and mechanical damage. Thanks to exceptional properties, the rubber elements do not crumble, do not crack, and do not fade over time. Moreover, parking stoppers are easy to maintain because they do not corrode or require painting. The wheel stoppers are resistant to frequent temperature fluctuations and differences, oils, UV radiation, and moisture.

Quick and hassle-free installation

They are perfectly suitable for permanent or temporary installation. Installation is limited solely to fastening them to the ground (e.g. asphalt or concrete surface). They are mounted directly to the substrate using expansion anchors (screws). No specialized tools are required, which is extremely beneficial for installing rubber stoppers in private applications (e.g. on a driveway or in a garage). In our "road shop" you will also find a set for mounting road signs and posts (e.g. U-21), which demarcate areas from traffic.

Visibility

Traffic separators are equipped with special reflective tapes (including yellow reflectors) that are highly visible both day and night.

Effective protection against damage

Road separators limit the wheel's overrun beyond the designated area, ensuring distance between vehicles in car parks. In our offer you will find various types of stoppers made of a hard rubber compound that effectively protect buildings and equipment from impacts by passenger cars, trucks, trailers, and forklifts.

Parking stoppers and separators - elements of road traffic safety

At Power Rubber we offer useful wheel stoppers that work perfectly in commercial spaces, industrial and production halls, underground garages, multi-storey car parks, loading ramps, driveways, and in front of shop windows.

Let's recall the advantages of rubber separators, here they are:

  • they serve to protect buildings and equipment from vehicle impacts

  • maximum visibility thanks to reflective tapes or point reflective elements

  • rubber separators are flexible, resistant to impacts and weather conditions

  • possible permanent or temporary installation

  • easy mounting to the ground using appropriate screws

  • the rubber parking separator has a low profile that will not damage the front of the vehicle

POWER RUBBER parking separator

Fortunately, there is only one answer to both questions posed above. A proven way to make parking easier for decent drivers and at the same time make it harder for those who park carelessly is to use parking separators. These elongated rubber elements are very easy to fasten to the ground, precisely marking the parking space. We can also use separators in other traffic situations. They will effectively separate pedestrian traffic from bicycle and car traffic. They will also designate zones excluded from traffic and serve as curbs. Most importantly, when we arrive at a car park, we will find exactly the parking bay we would like to encounter on every occasion, and especially during a driving test. So why keep making it harder for ourselves when once we can make it easier? We will end with that question and at the same time invite you to familiarize yourself with the offer of POWER RUBBER, in which all products are characterized by versatility and durability.
