Copper lubricants

Copper greases for lubricants dedicated for use in vehicles. Copper greases are resistant to high temperatures. Due to their consistency and high-quality ingredients, they show resistance to weather conditions such as rain, hail, snow. Copper greases - Purpose of use Copper greases are used in metal-to-metal joints. It is thanks to them that we can easily protect metal parts against corrosion - coating with a known corrosion process. It is also worth adding that this application brings one more result: noise reduction, i.e. noise reduction. Copper glue Application Used both in the largest models of trucks, but also in passenger cars, and even in motorcycles, bicycles and other specialized vehicles.

Copper grease - what is it?

Copper grease is an anti-seize agent containing a high amount of copper, preventing wear and seizing of bolts exposed to extreme temperatures. It is produced by combining fine copper particles with high-quality corrosion and oxidation inhibitors. Its main component is vegetable, mineral, or synthetic oil. Copper grease has a sticky consistency due to the combination of base oil with soap during production. Thanks to its sticky texture, the product adheres to the surface it is applied to. The product is available in the form of spray and paste.

Copper grease in spray and paste - advantages and properties

In order to ensure the longevity of moving parts in industrial machinery or vehicles, greases with various properties are used. Copper grease is a solid consistency substance. Due to its properties, it protects many metal elements (e.g. brake calipers) exposed to friction. Here are the advantages and properties of copper grease:

  • does not absorb moisture
  • resistant to water and corrosion
  • provides thermal stability
  • excellent heat conductor
  • excellent anti-seize properties
  • helps create safe and durable seals
  • provides excellent electrical conductivity
  • resistant to leaching by water
  • resistant to chemical agents and atmospheric conditions
  • increased adhesion
  • excellent lubricating properties

Copper grease protects against baking, corrosion, and cracking of metal elements (e.g. screws and hubs). The preparation effectively secures the contact point of metal elements and pipe connections. Moreover, it can be used to reduce vibrations on brake pad guides, shafts, and electrical contacts.

Copper in spray or copper paste?

Copper grease is available in solid form as a paste, in liquid form, and also in a spray. Both products have excellent lubricating properties, protect screw threads exposed to high temperatures, provide protection against corrosion, and effectively protect components from rust (e.g. battery terminals), prevent screws and hubs from seizing. What is the difference then?

The use of copper paste is suitable for applications that require precise application. This type of grease can be applied exactly where needed, without the risk of soiling neighboring elements. The thick paste consistency allows for a thick layer of the substance to be applied.

Copper spray works perfectly in hard-to-reach areas and on large surfaces. Copper grease in spray form allows for a thin layer of lubricating film to be applied compared to copper paste. The price of copper grease depends on the packaging size. It is important to apply the appropriate amounts of the lubricant. Excessive amounts can lead to issues with the proper functioning of ABS sensors, for example.

Copper grease - Application

Copper grease is a universal product with a wide range of applications. What can the grease be used for? Here are a few examples:

  • for lubricating bolts on wheel hubs securing steel rims, threads of glow plugs and spark plugs, threads of lambda probes, battery terminals
  • for assembly and disassembly work
  • to eliminate brake disc squeal
  • as an effective rust protection
  • to reduce friction (including silencing working parts)
  • in the automotive industry, it is used for applying to wheel nuts, exhaust system assemblies, brake components, screw connections, spark plug threads, and more
  • for fastening contact points of metal elements on bolts

High-temperature copper grease is used to protect metal parts operating at high temperatures. Undoubtedly, copper grease will work perfectly for repairs and maintenance in industrial machinery, bicycles, gym equipment, doors, garden tools.

Silicone lubricant

The use of silicone grease is recommended wherever o-rings or other sealing elements are present. Its purpose is to protect the seal by creating an additional coating with very high resistance. Even a thin layer of grease will significantly reduce friction of metal parts or protect rubber elements from cracking. In short, it will extend the trouble-free operation of the equipment we use. Silicone grease is widely used in various industries, confirming its highly desired properties. It is valued in automotive industry as a lubricant for hinges, screws; in energetics for protecting elements operating at high temperatures or sealing cables against water ingress; in gyms as a lubricant for treadmill components, for protecting plastic elements, and even in the food industry. In the food industry, it is particularly valued for its hygienic properties - it is a clean lubricant that does not leave stains, does not stick to dust, and additionally exhibits hydrophobic properties. It has a PZH certification, which is why it is also used to protect machine parts that come into contact with food.
