What distinguishes the EPDM sheet with WRAS?
WRAS drinking water certification
The material meets rigorous requirements regarding the migration of substances into water, impact on taste and odor, and safety of use in water supply installations.
Resistance to environmental conditions
EPDM is characterized by very good resistance to cold and hot water, water vapor, UV radiation and ozone, atmospheric ageing and selected chemicals at moderate concentrations. As a result, the sheet maintains stability of mechanical parameters over a long service life.
Temperature stability
The typical operating range for EPDM includes temperatures from approximately -30°C to +130°C, with the possibility of short-term operation at higher temperatures. This allows safe use of the material in hot and cold water installations.
Flexibility and sealing
High resilience and a low level of permanent compression set provide effective and long-lasting sealing of flange connections, covers, manholes and fittings components.
Typical applications
The WRAS EPDM sheet is used in flat gaskets for drinking water installations, seals of tanks and water reservoirs, components of water supply fittings, filtration and water treatment systems, as well as sanitary installations in residential and industrial construction.
The material can be cut to any size, including gaskets, washers and technical components, according to the customer's technical documentation.
