Inner sedimentary rings
Internal retaining rings, also known as Seger rings or snap rings, are made of high-quality materials such as spring steel or stainless steel.
An internal retaining ring is placed in grooves on the inner side of a housing, in holes with nominal diameters ranging from 8 mm to 300 mm. It is installed to secure mating machine components against axial displacement. Its special design keeps parts in place and prevents them from falling out.
Durable and resistant to external factors, these rings are suitable for both external and internal applications. They eliminate machining processes such as threading and drilling needed for installing screws, washers, or nuts, reducing assembly costs and saving time. Spring steel retaining rings are also available in sets, organized by size in a special sorting tool.
Internal Seger rings require specialized pliers for easy installation and removal. Different types of pliers are needed for external retaining rings.
Applications:
Internal spring retaining rings are used in the machinery, machining, automotive, household appliances, electronics, sports equipment, and rehabilitation equipment industries. Internal Seger rings are installed on:
- Bushings
- Bearings
- Gears
- Sprockets
- Bumpers
- Disc blades
- Clutches
Internal retaining rings comply with DIN 472 and PN 85111 standards.
