KLINGER® GRAPHITE LAMINATE TSM

KLINGER® GRAPHITE LAMINATE TSM is made of impregnated expanded graphite that does not contain any adhesive, eliminating the influence of organic substances on its sealing properties. It includes a 0.1 mm perforated stainless steel insert, ensuring a durable mechanical connection between graphite and metal while maintaining consistent physical properties across a wide temperature range.

Construction
The sealing material is free of adhesive and is based on impregnated expanded graphite. The design is complemented by a 0.1 mm perforated stainless steel insert, providing stable and durable sealing properties across the entire temperature range.

KLINGER® GRAPHITE LAMINATE TSM is primarily used in the chemical industry, refineries, and power plants where high chemical resistance and operational safety at high temperatures are required.

Standard Dimensions
Sheets are available in dimensions of 1000 x 1000 mm, with thicknesses of 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm, and 3.0 mm, with tolerances of ±5% for thickness and ±4 mm for length and width. Other thicknesses, dimensions, and tolerances can be customized to specific application requirements.

Product Variants:
TSM 150B (1.5 mm thickness), TSM 200B (2.0 mm thickness), TSM 300B-2 (3.0 mm thickness)

Material Properties
The graphite layer in all variants has a density of 1.0 g/cm³ and an ash content not exceeding 2.0% (according to DIN 51903).

Metal Reinforcement
The laminate includes a perforated stainless steel insert. Variants TSM 150B and TSM 200B use a 0.1 mm insert (type 1.4401 or 1.4404) with one layer, while variant TSM 300B-2 has two 0.1 mm layers.

Mechanical Properties
Testing by ASTM F36 A method showed a compressibility range of 30-45% and recovery of 15-25%. Machining according to DIN 52913 standard (16 h, 300°C, at a stress of 50 N/mm²) ensures residual stresses of at least 45 N/mm².
