KLINGER® GRAPHITE LAMINATE XSM
KLINGER® GRAPHITE LAMINATE XSM is a high-temperature sealing designed to work in extreme conditions, reaching temperatures up to 550°C, particularly dedicated to applications in the automotive industry.
Construction
The sealing material is based on specially oxidation-protected expanded graphite, manufactured without the addition of glue, resin, or impregnating agents, eliminating the toxic risks associated with the presence of organic components. An integral part of the construction is a 0.1 mm perforated stainless steel insert, which provides a durable mechanical connection of graphite with metal and ensures the unchanged physical properties throughout the temperature range.
Applications
KLINGER® GRAPHITE LAMINATE XSM is mainly used in the automotive industry where exceptional resistance to oxidation and high sealing stability at extreme temperatures is required.
Key Features
- Special oxidation-protected graphite foil
- Excellent chemical resistance
- Exceptional resistance to high temperatures
- Mechanical connection of perforated stainless steel insert with graphite
Benefits
- Consistent physical properties throughout the temperature range
- Very good sealing, compliant with TA-Luft requirements
- Reliability and operational safety at temperatures up to 550°C
Standard Dimensions
Plates are available in dimensions of 1000 x 1000 mm, offered in thicknesses of 1.0 mm, 1.5 mm, and 2.0 mm. Dimensional tolerances are ±5% for thickness and ±4 mm for length and width, with the possibility of adjusting other dimensions and tolerances upon request.
