Kalrez® FFKM gaskets are technically advanced seals made of perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) produced by DuPont™. This material combines the flexibility of rubber with the chemical resistance of PTFE, providing exceptional stability in high-temperature and chemically aggressive environments. Due to full polymer chain fluorination, Kalrez® maintains sealing properties in the range from -25°C to +327°C, showing resistance to over 1800 chemical substances, including acids, amines, oils, fuels, solvents, and oxidizing agents.
Applications and Technical Properties of Kalrez® Gaskets
Kalrez® FFKM gaskets are used in processes where maximum purity, durability, and chemical resistance are required, including the chemical, semiconductor, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and vacuum industries. They provide minimal swelling, low permanent deformation, and complete sealing even under conditions of large temperature and pressure fluctuations.
Various material variants are available, such as Kalrez® 4079, 6375, 7075, and Spectrum™ 6375, differing in their resistance to specific media and operating ranges.
