Simmering BO/BS

 

Simmering BO/BS is a sealing ring with a metal casing and two sealing lips, one of which – the working lip – is equipped with a pressure spring, while the other serves as a dust lip (without a spring). The outer metal surface ensures precise and rigid fitting in the housing, which is particularly important in applications exposed to high temperatures, intense mechanical loads, and aggressive media. The dust lip effectively protects against external contaminants such as dust, water, or metal shavings, increasing the lifespan of the entire sealing system.

BO/BS type simmerings are used in demanding drive systems, industrial machinery, gearboxes, engines, and hydraulic units. Depending on the working medium, variants made of NBR or FKM elastomers are available, resistant to oils, greases, fuels, chemicals, and high temperatures. This solution is ideal for applications where not only pressure sealing matters, but also effective protection of the mechanism from external factors.
