Technical felt

It is a durable fibrous material with a dense structure, produced from synthetic or natural fibers, compressed under high pressure. As a result, it is characterized by high resistance to abrasion, elasticity, as well as cushioning and insulating properties. It is used in industry, construction, automotive, and furniture making - wherever effective cushioning, acoustic insulation, or surface protection is required.

Application of technical felt

Technical felt is used as a base, cushioning, and protective material. It is used:

  • under machinery and equipment to reduce vibrations and noise,

  • as insulating and sound-absorbing layer in construction,

  • in automotive - for sound dampening and interior component cushioning,

  • in furniture making - for surface protection and finishing,

  • in the production of gaskets, technical pads, and cushioning elements.

Hard and underlay technical felt

Hard technical felt is characterized by increased density and compression resistance, making it ideal for structural and industrial applications. It is used where stability and resistance to mechanical loads are important.

Underlay technical felt on the other hand serves a cushioning and protective function - placed under machines, plates, or furniture, it effectively isolates from vibrations and prevents damage to the substrate.

Self-adhesive felt - convenient installation and versatile application

Self-adhesive technical felt is a modern solution that allows for quick installation without the need for additional adhesives. It is covered with a durable adhesive layer, protected by a protective film. Just peel off the film and stick the felt to a metal, wooden, or plastic surface. It works excellently as a protective pad under furniture, noise-reducing mat, or industrial insulation. It is also available as self-adhesive felt in rolls - perfect for applications on larger surfaces.

Various types and formats of felt

At POWER Rubber, we offer a variety of types of felts:

  • Needle-punched felt - durable synthetic material for filtration and insulation,

  • Automotive felt - resistant to temperature and vibrations,

  • Self-adhesive felt - quick in application, ideal for technical installations,

  • Wool felt - natural, elastic, and ecological.

Each type is available by the meter, in sheets or rolls, in different thicknesses, densities, and colors.

At Power Rubber, we offer a wide range of products and technical advice. We provide custom cutting of technical felt, even in non-standard shapes, according to the client's technical documentation. Our felt gaskets ensure tightness and long-lasting performance. By choosing industrial felt from Power Rubber, you gain confidence in precise manufacturing, material durability, and suitability for specific applications - from light insulation to structural and protective elements.
