The scraper ring type ZZ is a specialized sealing element designed to protect hydraulic systems from external contaminants. It is primarily used in applications with reciprocating motion, where it protects piston surfaces and shafts from dust, dirt, and abrasive particles. The construction of the ring is based on a metal housing without a spring, which allows for its installation by press fit into a properly prepared socket.

Thanks to the use of elastomeric compounds such as nitrile rubber NBR, polyurethane (AU, EU), or fluoroelastomer FPM, the ZZ ring is highly resistant to oils, greases, fuels, and fire-resistant hydraulic fluids. The operating temperature range depends on the material type and can range from -40°C to +250°C. The material hardness in the range of 80 to 90°ShA provides adequate rigidity and sealing, even in demanding industrial conditions.
