They are a special type of standard rubber plates, and their task is to ensure the safety of the use of surfaces, which each of us uses every day. It can be said that rubber plates are reinforced with plates of exceptional purpose. It is thanks to them that we can run without obstacles, use the outdoor gyms, and our children can safely play in the playgrounds. What are reinforced rubber plates and what are these plates used for?
Rubber plates with spacers – what is it?
Rubber mats with spacers are used to make a safesurface, not only in playgrounds and other recreational areas, but also in facilities equipped with swimming pools and gyms. All such plates must be of the highest quality and made with the help of modern technologies. What gives the use of such rubber plates? They minimize the effects of falls and other possible accidental injuries. In addition, the installation of such surfaces reduces noise and shock. Rubber plates are easy to maintain and are great for all seasons and weather conditions.
Advantages of rubber reinforced plates
Since rubber plates have been reinforced by us called plates for special tasks, it is worth mentioning their advantages, and they have a lot of them. First of all, they are made of the highest quality rubber, which can be reinforced with one, two or even three spacers, and through the vulcanization process it is impossible to separate the plates from the reinforcement. They are characterized by very high strength and fatigue resistance compared to standard rubbers. We are talking mainly about resistance to various forces, susceptibility to stretching, interruption or abrasion. As they are highly resistant, they can operate under the pressure of high forces. They are resistant to many adverse weather and environmental conditions, depending on what rubbers were used during the production process. They do not give off an unpleasant odor, because the rubber from which they are made is really of the highest quality. Reinforcement greatly increases their mechanical strength, so they can be used even as conveyor belt. The plates can operate at very extreme temperatures.
Where are rubber plates reinforced with spacers used?
Rubber plates with spacers will work primarily in public places, where it is necessary to take care of the safety of people using the place. We are talking, first of all, about children’s playgrounds, where such rubber mats must provide adequate protection in case of any falls, but also recreation areas with outdoor gyms, water-based squares, where antifungal characteristics of the boards will count, and on pitches and treadmills. In addition, reinforced boards are also successfully used in numerous industries.
What types of rubber are the plates made of?
Available plates can be made of different types of rubber, each of which is resistant to different conditions. In this way, you can distinguish rubbers SBR, NBR, EPDM, which are the most popular types. You can also meet with the construction of rubber plates CR and NR-L. SBR rubber plates are by far the most popular, hence their name – general use. NBR boards are resistant to oils, lubricants and various fluids, including hydraulics. Epdm boards, on the other hand, are most often used in places that are exposed to harmful weather and ozone, as they are the ones that are most resistant to these factors. CR plates, i.e. chloroprene, have a similar use in that, in addition to the properties that EPDM boards have, they also have UV resistance. In turn, it is advisable to use NR-L plates for contact with food.
Rubber plates reinforced with spacers – available parameters
To meet customers’ expectations, rubber plates are available in different dimensions. Starting from the thickness, it can reach 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, 5 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm, 20 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, up to 50 mm. On the other hand, when it comes to the width of rubber plates, they usually have a dimension of 1000 – 1200 mm. Rubber plates reinforced with spacers are sold in rolls of 1 m, 5 m or 10 m. However, it is not a problem to cut the plates on the individual order of the customer.
