Cutting power density

Cutting power density

In a waterjet cutting system, the amount of energy put into an area of a given size is judged by the cutting power density. If the jet is lower and the pressure is higher, it means that it will move at a much higher speed and therefore its cutting power density will be greater than with wider, slower jets.
