Rubber sheets are very popular, mainly due to a number of properties that allow them to be used in difficult environmental and weather conditions. However, not all rubber plates can be used in every place, so it is worth considering the conditions under which a given plate will work before buying. If we need a board that will be exposed to harmful weather conditions, and most of all, it will be in contact with ozone – it is worth buying one that will be resistant to it.
Ozone-resistant rubber mats – what are they made of?
As the plates are ozone-resistant, they can be successfully used not only indoors, but also outdoors. This is ensured byfluorine mixturesof which such mats are made. What are these mixtures?
Viton rubber sheets, which can also be found under other names, such as FPM or FKM, are a specific product of the process of copolymerization of fluorine rubber monomers. Fluorine rubber is extremely resistant to all harmful conditions, it is mechanically very durable, resistant to damage, including damage resulting from contact with corrosive substances. It is also not afraid of extreme temperatures (from -25 degrees Celsius to even +230 short-term operation).
In addition to fluorine mixtures, rubber plates made of EPDM rubber are also resistant to ozone and weather conditions. General purpose rubber sheet is very often used in industrial plants and workshops and can also be successfully used outdoors.
Ozone-resistant rubber plate – application
As the mats are resistant to abrasion, all petroleum substances: oil, gasoline, lubricants, they are not damaged by frost and keeping them clean does not cause any problems, it is not surprising that they are widely used. The main uses of ozone resistant rubber plates are:

The standard available rolls have dimensions of 1.2 m by 10 m, however, as we have the appropriate machines, the plates are cut using modern plotters for cutting rubber. For this reason, all boards can be cut to size, according to the needs and individual needs of the customer. Even those with the greatest thickness, i.e. 50 mm.
