Rubber Flooring for Gyms: Advantages and Properties
Durability and Strength
At Power Rubber, we offer puzzle and square mats made from the finest rubber granules. Our products are extremely durable, withstanding the heaviest weight and providing a long lifespan even with intensive use. They are designed to create a uniform surface that does not shift or curl. Thanks to these properties, the mats are perfect for any gym, fitness club, and also as a protective element in cardio zones under heavy machines and equipment (e.g., treadmills, ellipticals).
Shock Absorption
Thanks to shock absorption, these mats not only reduce annoying sounds but also protect users from vibrations, shocks, and impacts. Deadlift mats are the thickest, which is why they effectively absorb and dampen impacts. Non-slip and shock absorption are important properties of the floor. On one hand, high-quality mats protect against accidental falls, and on the other hand, they protect joints from hard surfaces (anti-fatigue properties).
Non-Slip Properties
In our store, you will find a wide selection of rubber mats for gyms, ensuring comfortable and safe workouts with no risk of injury. The non-slip surface provides proper grip, protecting users from slipping, tripping, or falling.
Noise Reduction
Puzzle and square rubber mats guarantee excellent acoustic insulation. They reduce noise caused by heavy equipment and dropped weights (dumbbells, barbells). We can help you choose the correct mat thickness for specific applications. We’ll provide appropriate solutions to effectively soundproof the room.
Comfort and Safety
Rubber flooring is available in rolls as well as in puzzle or square tiles. Its installation increases safety and workout comfort. The rubber floor provides a safe and comfortable surface for exercise, ensuring good traction. It helps prevent injuries and serious joint damage. It also reduces the impact load during training and protects the floor from cracks and damage.
Easy Installation and Maintenance
Gym mats offer extremely fast installation and easy maintenance. The entire surface consists of special tiles that fit tightly together using mounting pins. Rubber plates are installed without the need for glue. They are suitable for self-installation.
If a tile needs replacing, simply swap out a single element without dismantling the entire floor. It’s also possible to add colored granules (called mosaics) to enhance the visual effect.
The floor doesn’t absorb moisture, preventing mold growth and bacterial proliferation. It is easy to wipe and clean.
Deadlift Mats – Thickness
Deadlift mats (DZIK) are for the heaviest weights! In our store, we offer mats in various thicknesses, from 37 mm to 80 mm. They are highly durable and resistant to intensive use. Made from durable rubber, they won’t chip or crack under impact. They have excellent shock-absorbing properties, which helps protect the floor and equipment from impacts. The edges fit seamlessly together and are almost invisible after installation. It’s a worthwhile investment for anyone seeking maximum floor protection in the...
Deadlift Mat Installation in the Gym
Step One – Organize the Space
What is the first step in installing mats in the gym?
First, you need to organize the space dedicated to the deadlift zone. This zone is usually located where the machines are, which makes our job easier. Move the equipment and other fixtures and roll up any mats and mattresses in the room.
Step Two – Clean the Floor
Clean the floor! Ensure the surface is dry and free of debris. We recommend cleaning the floor with a vacuum cleaner to remove small particles that might interfere with installation.
Step Three – Check the Floor Condition
Check the floor’s condition. Make sure it is not cracked, there are no obvious slopes or height differences. If such irregularities exist, the surface should be leveled depending on the material used.
Step Four – Installing the Mats in the Gym
We recommend starting from one corner of the room for a better fit without needing to cut tiles. Place the piece in the desired spot. Then, add mounting pins on both sides of the next piece. Repeat this process until all purchased elements are installed.
Step Five – Final Cleaning
Don’t forget to clean up after installation. Order and cleanliness always enhance the final result.
