Natural Rubber (NR) is a natural, elastic hydrocarbon polymer derived from latex (milky colloid). The source of latex is hevea trees, also known as rubber trees. It is a material widely used in various industries.

Strength

Elasticity
NR rubber is resistant to stretching and elongation. Its excellent compression set makes this flexible material ideal for use in mountings, anti-vibration bumpers, and insulating mats. Compared to other rubbers (e.g., SBR rubber sheets), it is the most elastic. Its high tensile strength makes it a safe material for various applications (fish processing, breweries, food industry).

Resistance
Products made from natural rubber are resistant to low temperatures. Additionally, they are compatible with alcohols, esters, glycols, and ketones. NR rubber is waterproof, so it does not age or crack with prolonged water contact.

Production Cost
NR rubber is cheaper to produce than alternative polymers, such as SBR rubber sheets (styrene-butadiene rubber), NBR (nitrile rubber), and EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber). It does not require expensive production equipment.

NR rubber should not be used in applications where there are high temperatures, prolonged exposure to sunlight and ozone, and unfavorable weather conditions. It swells in the presence of fuels and mineral oils.
