What is a rubber plate and what is it made of?

Thick Rubber Sheets are flexible products designed for many applications. They are made of various types of rubber, i.e. rubber mixtures with different properties. Here are a few of them:

Natural rubber (NR)

It is flexible and resistant to mechanical damage. It has excellent shock-absorbing properties. Often used as aplate for a permanent workshop, resistant to cutting and cutting.

EPDM

It works very well in outdoor applications. Resistant to acids and bases as well as to demanding weather conditions.

Neopren (CR)

Used for industrial applications. Resistant to corrosion, petroleum products, oils, acids and bases. It insulates acoustically.

NBR

It has high resistance to oils and solvent products. Oil-resistant NBR rubbers are used in areas where there is a high risk of leakage of oily substances. Technical sheets made of oil-resistant NBR rubber protect against the most common oils.

SBR

Silicon

It is a material with high resistance to aging in weather conditions. Most often used in the pharmaceutical industry. It is characterized by low permeability and resistance to high temperatures.

Rubber sheets are a very good insulating material which, thanks to its flexibility, adheres to any, even uneven, ground. They are available in various thicknesses (4mm, 10mm, 30mm, 40mm etc.). The thickness of the rubber plate depends on the pressure that will be exerted on it. The greater the load, the thicker the plate should be used for a specific application.

For example:

Thin rubber sheets (3 mm, 4 mm) are used, for example, to cover workbenches and hard floors.

10 mm or 20 mm thick rubber sheets work very well as a substrate for machines.

Rubber plates (40 mm, 50 mm) can be used as a mat for heavy equipment on the construction site.

The use of a thick rubber plate

Thanks to their unique properties, rubber sheets have a wide range of applications. Rubber sheets are used in industrial halls, residential buildings, garages, workshops. As mentioned earlier, the thickness of the rubber plate depends on the amount of load we want to place on it. It is available in two variants: a solid rubber plate and a sponge rubber plate (the so-called rubber granulate plate).

The rubber plate is perfect as a substrate in home and commercial gyms. Rubber granulate plates can be used in places of intensive use (e.g. fitness rooms). The different thickness of the boards allows for appropriate adjustment depending on the loads and traffic intensity.

It is worth mentioning that the rubber granulate boards, apart from the gym and use under machines, are also perfect for the playground.
